How do I change default location for config and log files

Post by FurryPig »

Hello,

How do I change the default directory where the configuration and log files are stored?

Thanks

Config file location can be customized here - https://www.vladonai.com/forum/how-do-i-f5/how-to-change-the-default-ini-config-file-location-t594.html

Log file location yet cannot be cusotmized.
AllMyNotes Organizer usage example: a genealogy tree keeper, and, BTW, use alarms to remember about anniversaries and birthdays

Hi,

The most current versions of AllMyNotes uses AllMyNotes.cnfg instead of the .ini file. Does the registry change still work if you specify the location and file name of AllMyNotes.cnfg?

In the interim I used mklink to create a symbolic link to move the files.

cmd /c mklink /D C:\Users\<account name>\Documents\AllMyNotes C:\<destination path>
Obviously change the <account name> and <destination path> to what is appropriate on your PC.

Thanks.
