AMN-v4.08 BETA - signature missing

Hi,

I just updated v.4.07 to v.4.08 (all betas) to realize th version 4.08 does not start properly. It says "Error: File signature is missing or incorrect ...".
Any hints how to solve this?

There is a signature files AllMyNotes64.sig (for 64-bit version) and AllMyNotes.sig (for 32-bit version). We are using this to assure that the executable file was not altered by third-party program.

This error may appear in two cases:
1. The executable file of AllMyNotes was altered by a third-paty program. Possibly a virus!
2. The signature file was not installed properly.

IMHO, the easiest way to have it fixed is to simply reinstall AllMyNotes in to a different folder (it will not affect your data nor settings).

P.S. If the program still happen you can still launch AllMyNotes by holling the Shift key down while it starts, this way it skips file signature check.

Thank you for your quick response.

The reinstallation does not solve the problem. The .sig file is present. According to ESET I don't have any viruses.

Nevertheless - Shift-Run DOES work as does the Portable Version 4.08 Beta work.

We've investigated this issue and it looks like the issue was in installer (Portable version is ok), so we've re-compiled it and now it looks ok. If you've been affected by this issue simply re-download/reinstall it, and the problem should be gone.

Perfect, the issue is really resolved ... now with re-download and new installer everything is working smoothly again.
