Portable vs Deluxe version

Post by Sosueme »

I just purchased AllMyNotes. The email with the link said that the offer was for the "Deluxe/Portable version." Does that mean I have purchased the Deluxe version of the Portable version? Or does it mean I have a version that is EITHER the Deluxe version OR the Portable version, depending upon where I install it? Can I install what I have purchased on my hard drive? The downloaded file is named "Portable," so I am a bit confused. I'd like to know more before I attempt an installation.

TIA

Thank you for supporting our work by purchasing Deluxe edition :)

Purchased license is good for both - Desktop Deluxe, and Portable Deluxe :D Portable version is very same to Desktop, except that it requires no installation, and thanks to it can be installed to external drive, like USB stick, launched on any PC. It automatically handles cases when your drive letter changes (as same USB media on various PCs can have various drive letters, for example, on home PC it can be E:\, while on work PC it may be H:\).

And, you can use your license on all computers that belong personally to you, as the license is user-based (not PC-based). For example, you can use it on home PC, work PC, Notebook, and removable USB media :)

Note: if you want to have both – Desktop and Portable versions activated using your purchased Deluxe license key, please make sure to activate them both using Help -> Activation Details menu item. Cause otherwise Portable version may be not activated on other PC, despite on PC with activated Desktop version it may say that it's activated.

P.S. I've moved your question to Sales category, cause it appears to be fitting this category better.
AllMyNotes Organizer usage example: an app to do detective work
