Cursed cursor

I just updated to 2.70. I'm now seeing the cursor jumping or some such thing every time I insert it in a new location. It's not only utterly obnoxious, but makes my stomach churn. I tried to find a way to stop this irritating and useless behavior, but saw nothing in the options about an animated cursor. Please, please, please, please, please stop wasting your time on such foolish, irritating eye candy and spend it on adding useful features to the software.

Well, I guess this was added due to my remark that the small cursor line is hard to find if you switch between different windows. I would prefer a block cursor since there is actually just one write modus (insert and no overwrite modus). Lets see what the future brings Nevertheless I am happy to see that AllMyNotes keeps being updated and improved.

We'll change cursor behavior soon. To make it more visible on changing focus from other apps, and, we'll add an option to disable it.

By the way, is there someone who is happy about this feature, I mean, as it is now?

I like that new animated cursor.... But I would prefer that feature have option to disable / able it....

Effectively from version 2.71 and 3.06 (beta) such option will be available via Tools -> Options -> Interface -> "Enable Animated Cursor Position Highlighting".
