tluxon,
Not sure if this is what you mean, but I use separate AllMyNotes databases and indicate them by naming the program icons accordingly. I know that this isn't the same as being able to view both/either in the same AMN session, but it works fine for what I need.
For example, properties of one program:
target: "C:\Users\username\Documents\AllMyNotes\AllMyNotes Documents.ddb"
start in: "C:\Users\username\Documents\AllMyNotes"
icon label: "AllMyNotes Organizer - Local"
properties of another:
target: "C:\Users\username\Dropbox\AllMyNotes\AllMyNotes Documents.ddb"
start in: "C:\Users\username\Dropbox\AllMyNotes"
icon label: "AllMyNotes Organizer - Shared"

Juggling multiple data files
With email, a common function is to view email from several accounts in the same client. With AMN, I have a lot of data that I only need for work organization and I see little-to-no benefit in maintaining all that at home as well. At home I have many personal/family things that may or may not be worth maintaining at work as well. In between I have a lot of data that's really applicable for keeping synchronized at both work and home. If this was email it would be 3 separate accounts that I would manage with an email client that had such capability.
AllMyNotes does not appear to have that functionality, although I wonder if it ever could. In lieu of that, what are some of the tricks you guys use to manage data that really has distinct origin and purposes?
On a related note, I have a large amount of reference material (approximately 70 pages) that I've accumulated in the data file (200+ pages) I use at work and wonder if there's any way to copy entire sections (including all the nested pages and their intact structure). The Export and Import functions seem to be designed for individual pages rather than intact structures.
Thanks!
