When Focus is in the tree, I find four ways to create a new folder and four ways to create a new note.

Folder : (F11, drop-down menu, Ctrl+Shift+N, F )

Note : (F7, drop-down menu, Ctrl+N, N )

Suggestion :

After creating a new folder and after typing the last character of the folder name, use Ctrl+N

to open the folder, create a new note, auto number the note name to (1) as page # and place cursor in note ready to start typing. Note:( Ctrl+N ) does all this in one step.) If possible lock the notes in this folder so they can't be moved. Each note added to this folder, the page # will increment.

There would be at least six key clicks less to get to the workspace. Hope this can be in some future version.
