Most features in AllMyNotes are carefully designed. Usually, these can save us much time.
Here I just give some comments on the way of creating hyperlinks to local files by dragging & dropping.
This feature works perfect if we only drag many files into the right note window. These files are imported as hyperlinks if we press Ctr key.
Some times we may want to quickly import many files into the AllMyNotes and one note for each file with a hyperlink. This is particularly useful, for example, when we want to import some research articles about a topic. The articles are also used by other softwares, so we it is better to import them as hyperlinks. If we create one note each time manually, it will certainly cost so much time.
Here is the problem and suggestion:
1: If we drag & drop the files onto the left note tree window, AllMyNotes will create a note for each file but always import the file as attachment whether we press Ctr or not.
It will be better and more useful, if we can also use Ctr to import files as hyperlinks. This will allow us to quickly set up a map for the files in the disk. So much time is saved in this way.
2: Another minor comment is related to how to treat folders. It is forbidden to drag and drop a folder onto the left note tree window. The perfect way is to to create a note folder for the folder in the disk, and insert the files as notes. Similarly, if we hold Ctr key, the files should be inserted as hyperlinks. In this way, we can quickly create a map for the files of a folder in the disk. Similarly, if we drag and drop the folder into the note window, it is better to create the hyperlinks for all files if we hold Ctr key.
Happy holidays.
Thanks again for this great and nicely designed tool.
