If you rename a note that is hyperlinked to from another note the link no longer works. It's not obvious which notes are linked to so it is very easy to rename the object of a link without realising you are breaking the link.

Yes, this is a weakness of initial design, the link is symbolic (like in Linux), so once the target Note is renamed or moved, the link doesn’t works. We'll consider your finding to be fixed in the future.
