While I appreciate the fact that AllMyNotes attempts to identify hyperlinks within the text, it seems that it could be a little more selective with the 'identification rules'. I'm seeing a lot of text being falsely identified as hyperlinks when in fact the text is actually a file name, an IP address, or a date. In fact, every item in the following list is identified in AllMyNotes as being a hyperlink (the last one is identified as a phone number). So I don't know whether to ask for the rules to be tightened, or for an option to be added that allows each user to either show/not-show underscores for hyperlinks. (I wouldn't want to do away with the ability to double-click to select the hyperlink, only the underline itself.) Either way is fine with me.

Let me explain why certain hyperlinks are recognized incorrectly... Let's take a look at last false-positive example, "01-16-11", obviously it's the date, we, humans, know it. But, imagine that you live in the city where phone numbers are represented in xx-xx-xx format... This is the case for my city, for example, my phone number, if to skip country/area code is 51-33-32, same format as date format :?

I think we'll do something which will enable to train our hyperlink recognizing engine to learn user-based hyperlinks experience (kind of spam filter, which can learn user preferences). Possibly Alt+Click should identify hyperlink as false-positive and remove underline from it and all similar hyperlinks. Anyway, I'll reply to this topic once we'll have it implemented.

Effectively from version 2.33 (will be released on this week) this feature will be available. To remove hyperlinking will be needed to do Shift+Alt+Click.

I find that I have so much text being identified as hyperlinks that I just can't keep up with disabling them individually. This is not a problem when the text remains in AllMyNotes, but when I have to copy it into an email (which I frequently do) I have to manually remove hyperlinks either before copying the text or after pasting it. So would you consider creating either a more global way of removing hyperlinks (e.g., remove all links within selected text) or making automatic-hyperlinks an option that can be disabled?
