Good news for Linux!

Hi everyone,

I have lamented an issue where AllMyNotes would work under WINE within Linux, but with one major drawback: when typing text in a note you would literally have a 1 second delay for each keypress. That rendered it useless, unfortunately.

I came browsing back here today to see how things are going. Saw that there was a Beta for v3, downloaded, installed on Windows. Works very well. Then decided to do so for WINE/Linux. And you know what? It works! Perfectly! Per-fect-ly!

Then I went to the next test, which was global search. This is where AllMyNotes would fatally crash in WINE/Linux. I'd invoke global search and it would just fail and crash. I tried it out. And you know what? It works! Perfectly! Per-fect-ly!

Vlad - I have no idea what you did, but it's all working very well on the same configuration I was having problems with before.: Ubuntu 10.10. Good job!

Thank you for all this details, good to know that all works well for you now :) Hopefully we'll be able to do something about screen refresh rate in the future...

Re: Good news for Linux!

It was choppy until Ubuntu 12.04 (generally faster) and new Win ;-)
