But I would like to second the motion. If I recall correctly, in Info Select there was a template "option/feature" that allowed for automatically inserting a date and time stamp at the head of the note when it was created. That is one feature that I used all of the time. As it is now, I do a CTRL-D followed by CTRL-M at the top of the note as suggested, but I would prefer an option to have it done automatically. There is one guaranteed monotonic variable and that is time. Anyway, I can live without it -- but would find it very convenient.

I absolutely agree with this.

Re: Automatic Date Stamp Option
Thanks for the response. I never thought of that. Good point. I will definitely use it.
The above effort to check note properties requires time and effort, though. I'd still like to ask that you consider an auto date stamp option on the bottom of every new note.
Minor correction: Ctl-D is apparently the date stamp shortcut. Ctl-M stamps time.
Re: Automatic Date Stamp Option
Each note has a Creation date attribute. You can see it using right-click on a Note in the left-hand hierarchy tree -> Properties -> Item Info...
Also you can stamp date using keyboard shortcut Ctrl+M
Automatic Date Stamp Option
When I create a new note, I'd like the note to be date stamped, preferably on the bottom, below my note text. This would help me know when I first met someone, or was first made aware of a new company, product, website, or whatever.
Please consider adding this feature to AMN
