Yes, it's bit complicated, as standard system dialog we are using doesn't allows folders selection, need to create custom UI for that. We'll file it as a feature request.

You can create a hyperlink to a folder by selecting a file within that folder, and then remove file name in hyperlink editor. When you'll double-click on this kind of hyperlink it will open the Explorer with that folder content.

When choosing to "Hyperlink to File..." can there be an option to choose a folder rather than a specific file?
