I would like to be able to browse through different ddb files in one AMN window. It would be nice if we could add another file as second root/branch and we could search them either both at once or separately (for example by new option in F5 dialog).
Thank you.

Over time, the information in the file *.ddb is getting a lot of, bookmarks will be great help for easily structuring and searching.

As I understand, you want notes to ask as folders. Some apps of this kind allow that, but others do not, just because of different concepts of data organization.
To illustrate the idea we've put in to AllMyNotes... ask yourself why you cannot use files as directories, in Windows, in Linux, in Mac, or any other OS? Technically it can be done, but something is wrong with this concept, it's confusing and misleading. Same thing in MS-Office applications, particularly in MS-Outlook you cannot use Notes as Folders, from exactly same reasons. In case if you really need this feature you can take a look at competing apps, some of them allow that. I'm telling this because the only thing we can promise is that we'll consider this concept only if there will be many requests of this kind, but so far there is too few. Hope you understand.

How do I add a note to an existing note in the tree view without having to add a folder between the 2 notes?
I asked this in an email and now I read that I cannot.
I too would like to have this feature as I find having to insert folders in order to tab a note is inefficient.

Tab management (as in TreeDBNotes or Tranglos Keynote) is the only critical feature missing from my standpoint
This would make AllMyNotes even more user-friendly & efficient by:
- enabling users to better structure their notes ( quality improved)
- decreasing the number of mouse clicks required ( productivity improved)

Even if not critical to me, it's +1 here :)

Re: Multiple Tree & Tabbed Notes
My personal preference is to be able to open multiple files from the one interface, with a tab for each file. This would be more convenient when working on both personal and business files simultaneously. The current workaround is OK (opening multiple instances of the program), but less intuitive than I'd like.

Vlad, that's fine by me, I appreciate your not steering the product by individual user requirements. :D
Anyone else who thinks this could be useful, please comment on this post.
Thanks

It can be done using .bat files, for example, create shared-file.bat file with following file content
start allmynotes.exe SharedDataFile.ddb
Launching this file will open SharedDataFile.ddb in independent window.

I'll add it to the feature requests, by the way, let's see if there many users need this feature. If you would like to have this feature, sound off, so we'll know it's demanded.

Hi yes I was aware of this, but i am running a portable version, so this is not the best solution for my personal use. Besides, I think all within one file makes for a more 'elegant' and more useful solution.
Here is an example of a competitor product - at least in the notes function.

Multiple Tree & Tabbed Notes
Hi, I would like to have the possibility to have a multiple trees, i.e. you could have a work and private tree, or setup multiple trees by project for example, as opposed to having one long list as we have now.
Then within an item, the possibility to have tabs, to further segregate the note into sections.. again, rather than the flat structure we have now.
Thanks :D
