create/move data file
My "recipes" folder is getting huge and I would like to create a new stand-alone ALN file from this folder. What's the best way to do this?

Just copy that folder using Edit -> Copy menu item, create new data file using File -> New menu item, and paste copied folder in to the newly created file.
