I have a monthly alarm by date originally set to 07/15/2011. Every month it seems to come up later. To day October 21, 2011 the alarm came up. Am I doing something wrong?

It looks like you need a "Monthly by Date", it will repeat on every 15th of each month.
You've created a "Monthly by Week Day" alarm. In this case everything is correct - it will appear in every 3'rd Friday of every month. Which is Oct 21'st for this month.

You are right! "Monthly by Date" where handled as if they where "Monthly by Week Day". Please use build #476, it's fixed there:
