Ok, here is a new build which in case of error is trying to insert tray icon again (up to 10 times):

Thank you. This time log is helpful - "Error: Cannot insert system tray icon. Error code: 1460"

Error code means "This operation returned because the timeout period expired."... In Monday we'll do another build which will do something about it...



By the way, as a temporary solution, try to restart AllMyNotes, from error description it appears that system is overloaded or something like that... Perhaps you have simply many software titles in autostartup group.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. Let's do this - we've added more logging and tweaked couple of things in Tray icon handling effectively from build #388. If it will happen again, please try this build (if you'll have newer one no need to get back to 388). And then post .log file again.

Over the last few days, since I installed build 385, the AllMyNotes icon sometimes doesn't appear in the system tray when I start my computer. Today I investigated this a little further, and I found that although the icon wasn't present, the application was running (which I confirmed using a tool called ProcessExplorer). Using ProcessExplorer, I stopped the application and then I manually started it, at which point the icon appeared in the system tray.



I've copied a section of the AllMyNotes.log file here for you to see. The first entry at 09:45:19AM is when I started my computer. The next two entries show when I manually stopped AllMyNotes, and then manually started it.



The option to "Always show icon in system tray" is enabled, and has been since I originally installed AllMyNotes.

Update: Today I rebooted several times, and each time the AllMyNotes icon appeared in the system tray. If there's anything you'd like for me to test, or if there's a debug option I can change to collect more data, just let me know.
