Great! I presume you where using app version prior to 2.72? Cause since version 2.72 the installer asks for rights escalation up to Admin level for the installer.

Re: AllMyNotes opens the wrong database
I have found out the solution:

In Windows 8 you have to run the setup of AllMyNotes "As Administrator"!

Otherwise the path and filenames of the double-clicked databases are not given to AllMyNotes as parameter and therefore AllMyNotes opens the last used database.

It should simply do it. It's odd that it doesn't works for you... Please locate and e-mail to me (User Image) the file named "allmynotes.log", hopefully it will indicate the reason of an issue.

P.S. Before sending the .log file, please try to locate and delete file names allmynotes.ini, possibly there is an error in to the config file.

AllMyNotes opens the wrong database
AllMyNoes 2.73 on Windows 8:

I have several AllMyNotes databases spread over my computer (and also stored in Evernote to keep some data encrypted there). Every time when I close AllMyNotes and double-click an other database to open this with AllMyNoes then AllMyNotes starts and opens the database that I have had opened before but not the database that I have just double-clicked.

Even worse: When I close AllMyNotes and delete a database and then open an other database by double-clicking it, then AllMyNotes creates an empty database where the deleted database was. This has already shocked my sometimes because I opened a big database by doble-clicking it and AllMyNotes only shows me an empty file.

How can I set the program to simply open the database which I have just double-clicked?
