Re: cannot load .ddb file
This error message is a little bit misleading. In majority of cases it indicates a problem with file access permissions. Try to google for detailed guidelines how to take file ownership and gain full file access permissions for Everyone user. You'll find many useful and well illustrated examples.

cannot load .ddb file
I've been using AllMyNotes for some time now..never had any problems. It's a fantastic progam. Recently my HD crashed so I had a SSD put in as replacement. I had been using the "free" version and then when you offered it on "giveaway of the day" (?) I downloaded it from there. To set up the program again I downloaded the Lite version 3.24 (build 885). The data had been saved to an external hard drive and had not been used when the PC was in repair. Now when I try to open the file and get my data I get an error message that it cannot open the file and "...it is corrupted or has a newer version. The extenal drive was not touched during the PC repair so I'm not sure what is going on. Any hope of recovering all my data? Oh, I'm using windows 10 home.
