1. I never get notifications of replies although I do have that option checked. :-(



2. I have no problems whatsoever with opening doc files (file association is Word) anywhere any time--only on AllMyNotes attachments. So the association between doc files and Word is neither missing nor broken in my system. Only AllMyNotes cannot find it..... All the links you gave simply show you how to associate or change the association of a file type with an app, which is already done and fine on my system.



3. I already wrote in my original post that all other attachments open fine. Also shortcuts to folders on my system work fine.



4. I also mentioned in my original post that the location of the file is not as shown in the AllMyNotes popup--it is in a regular folder on my E: DATA drive. Could this be related? AllMyNotes seems to look for the file in a temporary folder on my system drive.

How about other file types? For example, .txt, does it works correctly, if so, something is wrong with file associations. I do realize that it works in some other cases, but something is still partially broken with file associations, so I recommend to google for "fix association .doc file", or, look at one of links below:

I am finding I cannot open .doc attachments in AllMyNotes.

All other formats work fine.

When I r-click on the attachment square in the note and l-click Open, I get a window saying (see attachment below).







The location of the file is not as shown in the popup--it is in a regular folder on my E: DATA drive.

And I of course have an app associated with doc files (MS Word 2003).

How can I open these files?
