My drive backup problem reports that the AMN database file cannot be copied because it is in use. Yet the program is inactive, and not found in task manager.

Next I tried to move the ddb file to my Desktop, however Windows would not allow that. How do I change file privileges so I can backup/move this file when it is not open in the AMN program.

Even if AllMyNotes is running and locked the app you still should be able to copy your data file. The data file is locked by other app, or... try to reset file access permissions, make sure that everyone can access it.
