Since folder name can be seen I see no problem with allowing name modification. The password is not read-only attribute, it protects data inside the folder from unauthorized viewing.

I guess it's matter of personal taste - to allow 'lock' of password-protected folders, or keep them always open until the end. My personal preference is the way how it's currently done. There is another argument too - security. If you've assigned a password you definitely did that on purpose, likely data value is so high that you are simply paranoid about it. At this point, it's better to lock data as soon as you finished work with it.
We do have opposite requests - to lock data even on minimizing the app window :D This one has big sense too - security is truly important for many customers.
Also, the app can be configured to remain open when user press the X button,it simply hides the app to the system tray, but the app is still running.
