Do Ctrl+Click on these several unintentionally selected notes to excluded them from highlighting.
Shft-highlight errors, pre-Cut/Paste
in order to block Cut / Paste a series of notes, you can press Shft and simply arrow down or up to highlight a group of notes. But sometimes the process takes you off screen, as you might be attempting to highlight a section of notes that occupy a greater section of the tree than currently in view, thus forcing a scroll. It is quite probable then that you will over-highlight, and choose a number of notes to include that you had not intended to Cut / Paste. The problem is, as you reverse direction and arrow back the other way, the highlight does not move with you, and consequently when you cut, you will be cutting too far. If by chance that over-reach extended across a folder, then you might be cutting and pasting an entire folder as well as some other unintended notes. It 's also then quite possible that after the Paste is complete, you will not have noticed your error until you realize an entire Folder is now missing. You'd think it then easy to go back and find that missing Folder within the pasted section, perhaps now as a SubFolder... but no, it has happened to me now several times that the folder is now missing altogether.
