Thanks, Vlad, for your prompt reply. Yes, it was a Windows 10 "permissions" error. Must have sneaked in with a Windows 10 update. Interesting that it did not affect any other program, only AMN.

The upgrade/downgrade from/to whatever version version of AllMyNotes doesn't corrupts data file, normally everything should be 100% smooth and compatible.



Major reason why it may not work is an issue with file access permissions. Please make sure to take file ownership and grant full access to 'Everyone' user, also if there is other users with restricted access to the file please correct that too. You can find out how to do it by googling for text "windows 10 grant full file access and take ownership".



If it will not help please send us an exact error message, also would be good to see your allmynotes.log file.

For the past 12 months, after installing a Deluxe update, I cannot open my documents file, but have to restore from a backup. Any idea why?
