Sorry to be so long in responding; health issues. Disk cache enabled on my C drive. Located the AMN database (AMN.dbb) in Documents folder. Double clicking on the AMN.dbb file and opens almost instantly. Seems the USB is bad. I'll get a new USB and see what happens. Maybe a new USB drive will solve the other issue. I will provide another update on how a new USB works.

No matter how big is your data file, AMN should start in 2-5 seconds on majority of PCs (it doesn't loads your whole data file at all). Try to copy your data file to PC and open it from there, just to see if there will be difference. This will tell us where the problem is - if on PC it will work instantly (as it should), it will mean that something is not OK with external usb drive.



Another idea is that your data file got corrupted somehow, so you may try to create new data file using menu item File -> New, and copy-paste root folder from old file to new one.



And one more thing - make sure that you have enabled caching, you can read how to do it here.

AMN is slow to load. I mean slow. Loading this time is 10 minutes and counting. I think I'm doing everything ok. I'm using Windows 10 home. I'm using a 2GB usb drive plugged into a usb 2 expansion hub. My laptop is real short on ports so I need the hub. AMN is set to start when I turn the computer on. The back up files are only 260 mb.



Any help would be appreciated.
