Re: GUI issues, hotkeys
Thanks!

I've suffered from over-zealous anti-virus software, but I haven't seen it complain about that particular problem. Then again, I administer my own PC so can control it. But, if you are going to offer customizable hotkeys (great, look forward to that) it would be possible to warn the user about the possible false alarm. There's another approach: helper apps, like the EverNote Web clipper, or add-ons like the ones that EverNote and UltraRecall use for Firefox and other browsers. I don't know if those makes any difference to AV programs.

True, thank you for your bringing it to our attention. It will be fixed since version 2.48, which will be released in less than 2 weeks. The issue was happening in the tree view control, also in Global Search windows, in calendar picker control (alarm editor), and toolbar customization list.

Hope we'll find time to add them soon, the thing is that we want to make keyboard shortcuts customizable, and while this feature waits for implementation there is no sense to hardcode texts.

In meantime please see Help -> Keyboard Shortcuts... You'll learn may useful key combinations from there.

Upon your request, filed for implementation.

BTW, there is one thing which keeps me distant from too deep integrations in to the system - antivirus software. This kind of software is very paranoid, every app which is hooking keyboard input is treated same way as a passenger with a gun in the airport... This software evaluates the app safety by security risks it imposes to the system, and when the risk is above the average level... bang! Dead! Many software companies where kicked out of their business for not being careful enough.

Noted, will be improved.

GUI issues, hotkeys
I agree AllMyNotes GUI is gorgeous, but it's not standard. If I'm in a note and press Alt-Space, I get the standard Windows Priority... Close menu. If I'm in the tree, it generally collapses/expands the tree (sometimes does nothing). Shouldn't it always give the standard menu? And, no accelerator keys on menus; having to press Alt, release it, then arrow across to whichever menu heading I want is slow and irritating. Adding a new note from a clip needs area marked in Web browser, then right-click on tray icon and Paste. Why not just mark text, press single hotkey and have note added instantly, like CintaNotes? Much more convenient. Also, new notes added from clips don't seem to automatically have titles. It would be nice to have the node title taken from either the Web page title, or optionally from the first non-blank line of text.
