Re: Wiki-like linking
Vlad, in different ways all of the following allow tagging, Rednotebook which is an open source project, Onenote, Evernote (but lacks the hierarchical structure of AMN), Catch (same comment as Evernote). For me though the combination of being able to have the hierarchy you already have in AMN, but then be able to combine that with grouping notes with Tags would really make AMN an extremely powerful application....Thanks for listening as ever...

Thank you for feature request.
By the way, can you suggest other app samples that are able to do it (except Tomboy, which is bit different, as I understand)?

By the way, i am not talking about automatic linking....just one you manually make yourself. Kind of like #tags you see everywhere, i.e. #Product_1 will tag all products of a certain type irrelevant of the supplier.... etc

Hi Vlad,
When I look at competitive products to AMN tagging or being able to cross reference notes across the whole tree is a clear area for me where the others provide a much better solution.
As specific example for me is that I buy the same product from several suppliers, and from each supplier several products. When I do the reconciliation for a product/supplier combination, do I file that under the supplier or the product, do I have one overall product hierarchy and repeat the suppliers under the product, or the other way around.
None of that would be necessary with tags, since I could use that as the second level of order, hence I can quickly focus on product or supplier quickly, rather than either manually searching, or relying on a search query, where if I misspelt something its missing, or refer to a product in meeting notes for example, including stuff I don't want.
Honestly, as my database gets bigger, I am realising this is a major limitation for AMN, if I were simply putting down structured note it would be fine, but trying to bring many items together is simply not so easy without this additional level.
Any chance its on your near to do list????

Add one for me... With a view showing the tags, bold for the most common etc would be great...

Wiki-like linking
Ever used a program like TOMBOY notes?
It has a really great feature that automatically cross links titles of my notes to references I make when I am writing other notes. For example if I am writing about "Motor Neurons" in a science article and I just happened to have a another note in another folder with that title (Motor NEURONS) then it automatically links to the words in the note that I am currently writing to the note with the similar title. It makes it so easy to cross reference all of my thoughts and ideas.
It makes life magically connected and so much more functional when it comes to working with many many notes.
PLEASE PLEASE make this possible with ALL MY NOTES. I would even consider paying more to get that feature. It would make this the best software ever... (well EXTREMELY GOOD at the very least!)
Thanks
Shawn
