I usually use keyboard shortcuts when jumping from word to word (Ctrl Right Arrow, Ctrl Left Arrow). When I am going forward in a sentence, the cursor jumps to the first letter of the next word - no problem. But when I am navigating backwards, the cursor jumps to the space before the previous word instead of to the first letter of the previous word.
Another pair of keyboard shortcuts behaves similarly: Ctrl Del to delete the next word, and Ctrl Backspace to delete the previous word. The Ctrl Del deletes the next word and the following space - no problem. But Ctrl Backspace deletes the previous word AND the space before it. I always end up having to retype that space so that I can insert another word.
Can you make these so that they are consistent regardless of direction? Changing these will also make these features consistent with MS Word and other common programs.
Interestingly enough, the editor for making this comment does exactly what it should in terms of cursor navigation and deleting the previous word.
