Number of backups is not such a good thing too, as it represents simply nothing. What if you will have short backup interval, and will keep app running for day long (with zero changed in the data), in this case you'll have huge amount of exactly same backups.
How about playing with backups interval? You can set it to once per tree days, while keeping backups for a whole month. This way you will have really not that much backups for whole month long.

I would like to see an option to limit the number of backups, rather than the current "Delete backups older than xx days" option (or even in addition to). If AllmyNotes is opened several times over a period of xxx days, you can currently end up with a huge amount of backups, which become rather LARGE. Also, assuming I set the # of days to 3, If there is a a period that Allmynotes isn't opened for three days, I am left with no backups at all.
