Re: large databases?
Hi Vlad, (i've had to log in with another username, I can't find my password for the first account I made....) I did as you suggest above, and created a monster file by using copy/paste..... the program works flawlessly.... loads really fast, with thousands of records, and the search-as-you-type and the boolean search work prefectly. Impressive! Cheers mate .... D

Re: large databases?
AllMyNotes works very well with large amount of records - it starts instantly, there is no limit on amount of records, search depends on your HDD speed, but with reasonably modern hardware it must work very fast. From our end we did our best to make AllMyNotes the best in the class.
The best thing you can do is to try it yourself. Create a folder with 10 notes inside, copy it 10 times (now you have 100 notes) in to another folder, then copy that new folder, say, 60 times, so now you have 6000 notes, and once again, copy that 6000 notes folder 10 times, so now you have all 60000 notes ready for testing. Quite easy to do :)

large databases?
I'm a new arrival here.... So far I'm finding AllMyNotes to an excellent program. For my personal use, I've moved all my stuff over to it, and so far it's working just fine.
I have a question relating to using AllMyNotes for larger amounts of data.... I'm a member of a historical society, and we have in our collection several databases which consist of several thousand records. Our main database, for example, has 60,000 records, with more being added all the time.
Has anyone got any experience with using AllMyNotes with large amounts of data? Is it stable and solid when it has to deal with lots of records? And how is the search function affected (including the boolean search) -- how is that affected, does it slow down much?
Thanks,
David
