Hi, could you re-send the reply. I couldn't find it in my mailbox (have checked the spam filter as well and not found.) Many thanks!

Re: Can't Open Multiple Databases
By the way, the full file path is d:\(mynote)\a1.ddb. I'm using Windows 8.1 (Japanese Version)

Re: Can't Open Multiple Databases
Hi, many thanks for the prompt reply. The file names are a1.ddb, bb.ddb, and Allmynotes Documents.ddb. Today there's a new issue: when I tried to open any of the ddb or try to launch Allmynotes directly, it pop up an error message saying that the database file are bad (including the default allmynotes documents.ddb which has never been modified). The program asked whether I'd like to create a new database and after creating a new database the program successfully launched and all the above ddb files can be opened without any problem.
Additional System Information: Platform : Windows 8.1, Version Used: V2.8.0 (Build 571) Deluxe Version (I've purchased the deluxe license)
Many thanks!

What's the full file path and the file name itself to the .ddb file you are trying to open? I presume it may contain characters that are handled by AllMyNotes incorrectly when passed via the command line.

Re: Can't Open Multiple Databases
Version Used: AllMyNotes_Organizer V2.8 (Portable Version) downloaded from the official site yesterday
Hi, I have similar question. I used File Explorer to open different database by clicking on the file names directly. However, it just open the last file. The only way to work around this is to open different database files within AllMyNotes (i.e. I can open different database files from within the AllMyNotes organizer by File --> Open --> Select different database file).
Could you look into it? Many thanks!

Re: Can't Open Multiple Databases
I don't use File Explorer. When I double-click directly on the .ddb file in XYplorer, it still opens the last AllMyNotes database I had opened. Very strange! What could be causing that?
To try to solve the problem, I uninstalled, restarted, and then re-installed AllMyNotes but it didn't help. When asked if I wanted to make AllMyNotes the default program for .ddb files, I said Yes. However, when I look at the default programs in Control Panel, neither AllMyNotes nor .ddb are listed. Nothing I've done has helped.

That's odd indeed... What happens if you double-click directly on .ddb file using the File Explorer? Does it works for you in this case?

Re: Can't Open Multiple Databases
I think you simply need to re-create these shortcuts after system re-installation, cause I've just tried to create multiple shortcuts on Windows 8.1, and it works as expected.

Can't Open Multiple Databases
Since my computer broke & I had to get a Windows 8.1 computer, I have not been able to open multiple dbs on my desktop. Before, I followed your instructions in one of the forums for doing that and could easily open more than one db at a time. Here's what I do:
1. For each DB I want, I first use a file manager to send AllMyNotes to the desktop.
2. Right-click on the desktop icon to open Properties.
3. In Target box, put full path to the database, in quotations. ["F:\Data\AllMyNotes Backups\Personal.ddb"]
4. Rename icon to name of db, e.g. "Personal," "Computer," etc.
Now when I click on one of the icons, it opens the last db I had open, even though the Target box lists a different db.
Any help would be appreciated.
