AMN would not dial numbers formatted

but will dial
1-(xxx)-xxx-xxxx
(xxx)-xxx-xxxx
xxx-xxx-xxxx
xxx.xxx.xxxx

I am wondering whether AMN is passing the dial request through to the MS Dialer as the first time I use AMN after a reboot I get a message that the device I choose was busy so a different one was chosen.

I found that MS Dialer was set to dial all calls regardless of source so I turned that off and all was well (I Thought)
Now I have found that AMN will not dial TAPI unless MS Dialer is running. With the MS Dialer switch for dialing all calls off then AMN appears to do the dialing but if I close MS Dialer then AMN does not dial.

I have received no replies or comments to my original question. If AMN will not in fact dial the format given in 'Help' that seems to me a problem, especially when it appears to dial many other formats.
